Photo privacy

Personalized ordering is currently being prepared. This page describes the planned service and must be confirmed before ordering opens.

Orders must be placed by an adult. Upload a child’s photo only if you are their parent or legal guardian, or have permission from their parent or legal guardian. Please upload a photo of one child and use their first name only.

How the information is used

The photo is used to create an illustrated character and personalized coloring pages. The name, age and dedication guide the book’s content. Your email is used for private order updates. Printed orders also need a delivery address and phone number.

Image creation uses the OpenAI API. Payment is handled by Stripe. For printed orders, Lulu receives the book PDFs and delivery information. These providers apply their own privacy and retention policies. Your photo is not used in public marketing by Galapalooza.

Private access

Photos and personalized books are stored outside the public website folder. A private order link lets you review your book. Anyone with that link can access the order, so keep it safe.

Retention and deletion

Unpaid previews are removed after seven days. Finished PDF orders and download files are retained for 30 days after approval. Paid orders that are still being created or corrected remain available until completed. Print files may remain available while printing and shipping are underway. Minimal order records may be retained for business and support purposes; photo and PDF deletion is separate from those records.

You can delete an unpaid preview from its order page. To request deletion or ask about a paid order, email michael@galapalooza.fun. Payment providers and printers may retain records they require separately.
